| abstract | - -Extract from a letter sent to Brang Forgefire by Abbess Marjoram Clarinna was the daughter of Major Doughty, wife of Clerun Kordyne, mother of Urfa and Calla, daughter-in-law of Adarin Kordyne, and the sister-in-law of Buckler Kordyne. After Clerun was killed by Zwilt the Shade, and her babes were taken by the sable and his army of Ravagers, Clarinna came to Redwall Abbey, where she was treated for a head wound. She was hysterical about her stolen little ones and begged Buckler to get them back for her. Buckler agreed and set off on two different unsuccessful attempts to bring the young hares back. During an attack on Redwall, Zwilt and four other Ravagers got inside the Abbey and, during a duel with Buckler, grabbed baby Dubdub and threatened to kill him if Buckler did not surrender. Buckler agreed to surrender, and when Zwilt was going to decapitate Buckler, Clarinna stabbed Zwilt with the Sword of Martin after receiving a vision from Martin the Warrior, killing him and thus avenging her husband's death. Clarinna's two babies were reunited with her after the battle, when the Abbey was safe.
