  • Tommy Seebach Mortensen was a Danish singer/songwriter that made seven contributions to the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix from 1979 to 1993. He represented Denmark three times in 1979, 1981 and 1993. Seebach was married for a number of years, but that broke down from a severe addiction to alcohol, which eventually led DR to disallow "Under stjernerne på himlen" from entering the DMGP, in case of a sabotage on stage. Seebach passed away in 2003, resulting from a heart attack aged 53, despite having overcome his addiction. His younger son, Rasmus, wrote a song about him stating how great his father was, despite his addictions.
