  • Jeffrey Paul Brownschidle (b. March 1, 1959 in Buffalo, New York - d. December 13, 1996) was a American ice hockey defenceman. He played in the NHL for the Hartford Whalers. Like his brother Jack Brownschidle, Jeff played hockey at the University of Notre Dame. After graduating in 1981 the undrafted Brownschidle signed as a free agent with the Hartford Whalers. He turned pro in 1981 with the Binghamton Whalers while getting a three game callup to Hartford. The following season he played his last four games with Hartford. He retired in 1984.
