Actually forged together, for whatever reason, from the fragments of several free-floating souls, the Demon has not thus far recovered any of his thoughts or memories from before his appearance in Necromundus. Generally agreeable, but with a vicious side when it comes to his pride, property, and when insulted... the demon is a force for evil only in a functional, bureaucratic sense. Currently intent on regaining what he feels should be his appropriate power level (read phenomenal cosmic), the demon has undertaken trying and at times disturbing lengths to remember his past. From what he's gleaned, it would appear he was crushed by non-Euclidean geometry, until he died. This has done nothing to reassure him. Raeft's form seems, for whatever reason, a bit more modular than that of other demons. Perhaps due to his peculiar origins. This may also have been the cause for his relative exile to Necromundus, as this demon claims and acts as if he were a very definite "he", as opposed to the usual neuter. He is perhaps insecure on this point, for his propensity for overly macho parlor tricks is widely known. A magician and wizard by trade, the demon tends to look like a brown-haired young man with selectively demonic traits such as tattered wings, a barbed tail, glowing red eyes, and claws. Casual examination tends to overlook these traits, perhaps due to some trickery of Raeft's. A skilled jeweler and swordsmith, he has a preference for physical combat which inclines the Demon more toward swordplay and firm blows with his wings than flashy fireballs and magic missiles, sometimes at expense to his effectiveness in a fight. In his earliest days in Necromundus, Raeft is known to have found a truly mammoth specimen of the Giant Newt species, and used it as a mount for quite some time. Although he would admit that his new steed is faster and more befitting in appearance for a demon, being a large black horse and all, he has been quoted as saying: "But the back's not big and flat enough for a party.", and little more about it.
