The Coyotes signed him after he finished the 2005-06 college season and he played briefly with the San Antonio Rampage and the Lubbock Cotton Kings that year. In 2006, Zeiler signed a one-year contract with the Kings and made his NHL debut on February 17, 2007 against the Anaheim Ducks. His first NHL goal was scored a few days later, February 22 against the Vancouver Canucks. Since then he has split his time between the Kings and their farm team the Monarchs.
