| abstract | - Marya Carmela Krum (née Maximoff) (b. 8 October 1984) was a half-Romanian, half-Italian witch of the Maximoff family; daughter of Antoine and Carmela Maximoff (née Scicolone), twin sister of Wanda Maximoff and the younger half-sibling of Mateo, Pietro and Marco Maximoff. She attended the New Alexandria School of Enlightenment from 1996 until 2001, when she transferred to Castelobruxo Institute of Sorcery for a year as part of a student exchange program before returning to New Alexandria to finish her final year in 2003. Marya and her twin, Wanda, were star Beaters for the Ra's All-Stars Quidditch team, being accepted into the team when they were only in their second year. Marya's tight bond with her twin made their Beater skills incredibly effective, becoming the biggest factor in their team's victory in several New Alexandria Quidditch cups. After coercion from Fedor Krum, cousin of Viktor Krum and a family friend, Marya left Wanda behind to take part in a student exchange program at the Brazilian Castelobruxo Institute of Sorcery. Marya and Wanda parted on bad terms as the latter accused the former of abandoning her, and Marya departed to Brazil in a near-broken state. However, Fedor remained a close friend to Marya and the two began dating. When Marya returned to New Alexandria with Fedor, she was greeted with a punch to the face by her twin. Though Wanda refused to be civil towards Marya for nearly the entire year, the two made up just prior to graduation and remained as close as they ever were. After graduation, Marya and Fedor continued their relationship while Marya continued her education at New Alexandria, graduating from University in 2006. She and Fedor married directly afterwards and with him, she bore two children; Daniel Pietro Krum (b. 2008) and Franka Wanda Krum (b. 2010).
