| abstract | - Herci Santare was a legendary Jedi Master in the New Jedi Order during the years after the Yuuzhan Vong War. Herci was born in 38 ABY to a poor family on Dantooine. His father, Jocoyoso, was a unsuccessful merchant who had very few business orders. His mother, Lorraine, stayed home to take care of him and his sister, Caraina. Herci was able to go to school where his teachers noticed that he was a very bright and intelligent student. Following the end of the Raioballo Civil War, Luke Skywalker brought Herci and his sister to Coruscant to become Jedi. While training, Herci's masters noticed that he was very strong in the force and realized that he would become a very strong Jedi. In 98 ABY, sixty years after joining the Jedi Order, Herci Santare was now the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. Every night he had visions of another deadly war, and every night he would wake up yelling. He made a decision to ask the order to vote on telling the Galactic Alliance that they should prepare for another war. The council voted yes and Herci told the Galactic Alliance about his visions. The Galactic Alliance quickly began building up its armed forces again, and prepared for war. Many planets left the Galactic Alliance fearing that Herci was right about another war. At the end of 98 ABY another war against the Sith had started.
