abstract
  • General M Mazur was the first and only President of the People's Democratic Soviet Republic of Strathclyde. Following the establishment of a communist government, General M Mazur was elected as the nation's President. Mazur was the constitutionally-mandated president-for-life of Strathclyde, and was a member of the Communist Party of Strathclyde. He was also the Strathclydian Ambassador to the United Socialist Alliance. Mazur was born in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, on 30 April 1993. Little is known about his childhood. At age sixteen he joined the Communist Party of Britain, running for the riding of Edinburgh (East) in 2011 at age 18. He joined the British Army in 2012. During the Great Collapse of 2012, Mazur was sent to quell riots in Glasgow. On 22 December 2012 he illegally resigned from the British Army, founding the rebel Strathclydian People's Liberation Front (SPLF) in January 2013. On 8 August 2012, he proclaimed the People's Democratic Soviet Republic of Strathclyde at Kilmarnock, on behalf of the SPLF. As President, Mazur led Strathclyde to join the United Socialist Alliance, being appointed the alliance's Minister of Foreign Affairs. For a period of six days he served as Acting President of the United Socialist Alliance, when the alliance's president resigned. Following a vote of the Grand Parliament, Mazur dissolved Strathclyde and resigned as President on 10 February 2014. His resignation speech, which was delivered at Kilmarnock and subsequently forwarded to the Open World Forums, had him banished from the Open World Forums, which soon after deleted the record of the speech.
