  • Walt Flinchum (December 27, 1921-December 3, 1991) was a NASCAR driver from Summerfield, NC. He competed in eight Sprint Cup Series events in his career with mild success. All of those starts came in 1954, when Flinchum debuted with a 14th place at Macon. Flinchum ran extremely well after that, ending the year with top-21 finishes in all but one of his races. Late in the year, he broke into the top-ten with a 9th place finish at Weaverville and an 8th place finish at Grand Rapids before ending his career with a 44th (career-worst) at Martinsville.
