When Bruce Delgado led his Chatsworth Lancers and other Valley forces in an invasion attempt, Lou was part of the Fernwood detachment that headed up to the Glenview border wall to add to the defeses there. At Topanga village, they were warned by Connor Tillman of a Valley force trying to slip by the wall through the canyon wilderness. He and the rest of the detachment managed to stop the invaders and to make them retreat.
