  • Videl Delacroix is born of the linage of the Delacroix, one of the noble Households of Lordaeron. At an early age, Videl trained with a wooden sword before getting a basic iron sword of her own a couple of weeks of hard work later. When the successor of the House, her father Zacharias, decided to join The Alliance Expedition‎ to Outland, Videl decided to join with him while the rest of the House thought it was a bad idea. Zacharias promised, however, that he would protect her and after saying goodbye to his wife Vanessa, the two of them departed. While in Outlands Videl was assigned to help out the injured along with the local Priests and Priestess. This awoke her interest in becoming a Sister of the Silver Hand but when she wasn’t working she often by herself, training. But when Ner’zhul began to open his portals for his forces to escape and the lands of Draenor became unbalanced, Videl had the luck of having her father by her side who simply took her and rode off Honor Hold into the shattered black lands of Shadowmoon. There he built a small camp in which he and Videl lived for a while he rested from his severe, but not life threatening, injuries.A few of years later Videl was struck down by one of the Demons of the Burning Legion. In the last moment, an old man came to her, telling that he will heal her wounds only if she ever becomes an apprentice of him and seeing that Videl had no other choice, she accepted. The old man presented himself as Samael and was blind. His tattoo seemed exotic and strange and his only reply regarding them was that he “made a mistake when he was younger.” Samael mentioned he had seen the eagerness in Videl’s eyes as she tried to fend herself against the very Demon that had struck her down and since Videl was now his apprentice, he eventfully trained her to become a Demon Hunter. The years passed and after many trial and error, Videl was ready to become a Demon Huntress yet one only task remained: To make a pact with the very Demon that struck her down in order to use its abilities to destroy the Burning Legion. She failed and as punishment for the failure was to be leaving on her death. While in pain Videl grew furious and began to despise Samael and sensing the anger that Videl built within her last minutes, a Demon came to her and amusingly looked at the dying human. The Demon presented itself as Azatharixa and was of the same rank of Mal’akath, the Demon Videl tried to kill twice. As Azatharixa was tired to serve her masters of the Burning Legion, she offered Videl her powers to crave vengeance on both Samael and Mal’akath. As Videl only asked her to help her stand again, Videl eventfully betrayed Azatharixa and with her last strength, Videl absorbed her powers. This lead the carvings of her tattoos upon her body and with her newly found strength, she killed both Samael, Mal’akath and even her own father as he rested. As she decided to walk all the way back to the Dark Portal, she collapsed just after she stepped outside. She later woke up in a small camp of Mercenaries and lived a simple life with them for a while. The months passed and at one midnight she was driven to kill the abusive and power hungry leader after he came in drunk in Videl’s tent, trying to rape her but without any second to hesitate, Videl killed him in cold blood and decided to leave the Mercenary line and decided to go home.As she came to the now ruins of Lordaeron, her world turned upside down and crashed, Videl was left broken in horror. In her deepest grief she began to hear the whisperings of the Old God Yogg-Saron, telling her it was the doing of the Knight of the Silver Hand - Arthas Menethil, the prince of Lordaeron. Filled with anger and a stable sanity, Videl joined the Remnants of the Silver Hand in Stormwind only to corrupt it from within as it was the orders of the Old God. But the act was discovered and she was caught trying to assassinate Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker. While fleeing for her life towards the now-named Plaguelands, she was caught by the Mercenary band she used to serve. Filled with anger they killed her only shortly after she was captured but instead of being raised as a rank of the Scourge, she was resurrected by Yogg-Saron and was informed to enter the sewers of Lordaeron, thus granting her the Curse of Madness as she continues to hear his whispers. There she met Thomas von DeLorix, an Undead aristocrat. He presented himself as “an uncle she have never met” but was still serving the Household of Delacroix. Thomas mentioned that even if Lordaeron was lied to waste and ruins, many of the Delacroix family was serving Sylvanas Windrunner, the Dark Lady and leader of the Forsaken. Videl accepted to serve her as well and later met Videla, an old crone that claimed to have served the family since the dusk of its creation as well as Videl's grandmother. Videla was pleased that the family had named Videl in her honor and named Videl the successor of the Delacroix Family.
