Studying at St. Michael's College in Leeds, he graduated in Drama at Birmingham University in 1967. His other credits include roles in The Newcomers, The Contenders, A Family at War, Looking for Clancy, Crown Court, I Didn't Know You Cared, Tales of the Unexpected, Grange Hill, Midsomer Murders, Doctors and a role in the 1982 epic Ghandi. On stage he has appeared in productions of Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, Jack & the Giant, Dick Whittington, Business Affairs, Casting Shadows, The Darkest Room, Rough Crossing, Safari Party, Soul Traders and The Picture of Dorian Gray.
