  • Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a Tales from the TARDIS comic strip. It has been printed through various publications.
  • The dual title character is a doctor who has covered up a secret life full of cruel deeds. Henry Jekyll feels as if he is constantly battling within himself between what is good and what is evil and is pushing away people dear to him. After drinking a potion of his own creation, Jekyll is transformed into the cruel, remorseless, evil Edward Hyde, literally the darkest parts of Dr. Jekyll's nature brought to the forefront. Dr. Jekyll has many friends and has a friendly personality, but as Mr. Hyde, he becomes mysterious, violent, and secretive, and as time goes by, Mr. Hyde grows in power. After taking the potion repetitively, he no longer has to rely upon it to unleash his inner demon.
  • The story is based around the idea that each person has two sides to his or her nature, a good one and an evil one. Dr. Henry Jekyll invents a formula that brings out the neglected evil side of his nature, described as being younger and shorter than Jekyll and also extremely ugly. Jekyll gives his evil persona the name of Mr. Edward Hyde. The phrase "Jekyll and Hyde' has entered the English language, meaning someone who appears to have two very distinct personalities and whose behavior may change suddenly and unexpectedly.
  • Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a 1989 game on the Nintendo Entertainment System based on the novel Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and its film adaptions. It was critically panned by critics and is widely regarded as one of the worst games ever made. To this day, the Nerd still deems this as "the shittiest game he ever played". However, since then games like Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, Big Rigs, Desert Bus, Crazy Bus and Hong Kong '97 have taken that title in terms of technical quality and functionality. Also, the Nerd still refused to play E.T. for the Atari 2600, though he did play it in The Angry Video Game Nerd Movie.
  • Like so many other performers of this period, it was standard practice for the actors to apply their own make-up, and while assuming the dual role of Jekyll and Hyde, King Baggot employed a variety of different greasepaints and a tangled mass of crepe hair. Through a series of camera dissolves Baggot was able to achieve the transformation. This is the only version in which Jekyll almost discovers an antidote.
  • Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a game for the Nintendo Entertainment System released in 1988. It is noted for its unfair difficulty and the main weapon being a walking stick which can only harm bees. • Phelous: All right, the time has come and you can stop asking. I know you've been waiting but I'm gonna finally do it. It is time to review the 1986 animated adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde made for Australian television. I can finally rid myself of this evil! Ha ha ha! I can feel it working already! Isn't that right, Mr. Hyde?! Shredder: Do something else. Phelous: No. Hagrid: Do something else. Phelous: No. Sub-Zero: Do something else. Phelous: Okay. Sub-Zero: Really? You'll review something else? Phelous: No, I'm just okay that you'll work for Hyde. Phelous: I guess we have the same heart.
  • The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a novella written by Robert Louis Stevenson and published in 1886. The plot revolves around the lawyer Gabriel John Utterson, who investigates the strange behaviour of his friend Doctor Jekyll and the connection to the misanthrope Mister Hyde. It turns out that Dr Jekyll, attempting to create a potion which will separate his good and evil sides, instead creates a potion which just allows his evil side—Mr Hyde—to manifest. Since Mr Hyde looks different from Dr Jekyll, he can commit acts that Jekyll would never be suspected of. The problem? Mr Hyde commits murder. And then Jekyll discovers he's transforming without the help of the potion.

And then Jekyll discovers he's transforming without the help of the potion. Although associated with mental illness and split personality disorder, the story of Jekyll and Hyde actually may be considered some of the first science fiction, along with The Time Machine (1895) by H.G. Wells and Frankenstein (1818) by Mary Shelly. It is considered a classic and is read in English-speaking classrooms worldwide.
