  • Caesars Palace is a luxury hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip. It hosted the Apogee Award Ceremony in 2010.
  • Caesars Palace / Oscars Palace is owned by Harrah's Entertainment. It is called "Caesars" and not "Caesar's" because every guest is a Caesar. Caesars is located on the west side of the Strip, between the Bellagio and the Mirage. Caesars has five hotel towers: Augustus, Centurion, Forum, Palace, and Roman. The Forum tower features guest suites with 1,000 square feet of space each. Over the years, the hotel has been owned by various companies, including Sheraton and The Hilton International Corporation. Caesars Entertainment (originally known as Park Place Entertainment) bought the property in 1999 before it merged with Harrah's in 2005. Caesars Palace is a replica of ancient Rome with marble columns, statues, fountains, and a golden chariot illuminated by torches; the interior houses reproductions of famous Roman statues and a copy of the Bernini fountain in Piazza Navona. It is also possible to have a drink and be waited upon by staff dressed as ancient Egyptians on Cleopatra’s Barge. Many top performers, such as Liberace, George Burns, Cher, Julio Iglesias, Judy Garland, David Copperfield, Gloria Estefan, and most notably, Frank Sinatra, have performed at the hotel. Caesars has been a venue for many sporting events over the years, including boxing, wrestling, Formula 1 racing, and even daredevil motorcycle jumping. On December 31, 1967, Evel Knievel unsuccessfully tried to jump the hotel's water fountain with his motorcycle. In 1980, Gary Wells gained much media coverage, and much physical suffering, when he unsuccessfully tried to jump a motorcycle over the water fountain at Caesars. He sustained injuries to many different parts of his body. In 1989, Robbie Knievel successfully completed what his father could not do years before by completing the fountain jump. In 1992, The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace opened; it was one of the very first venues in the city where shopping, particularly at high-end stores, was an attraction in itself. The fourth phase opened on October 22, 2004. It has circular escalators taking guests to upper floors of the mall. The Caesars property includes the Colosseum theater, where Céline Dion and Elton John are regular performers. "A New Day" stars Céline Dion and "The Red Piano" stars Elton John. Caesars includes a Business Center; an exotic cars showroom; a health club which features a rock-climbing wall; four Roman-styled pools and two Jacuzzis in the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis which covers 4.5 acres; and a spa with 22 treatment rooms. * Forum Shops—more than 160 shops, boutiques, and restaurants, and Fall of Atlantis and Festival Fountain, two animatronic shows. * Pure Nightclub—36,000 sq ft. * The Pussycat Dolls Nightclub—36,000 sq ft. * Three wedding chapels: Classico (196 guests), Romano (35 guests) and Tuscana (80 guests). A free shuttle runs to sister properties Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino and Harrah's.
