  • Macintosh Performa
rdfs:comment
  • The Macintosh Performa was a consumer-oriented line of Macintosh computers. Once, they were only sold through consumer stores. Soon, however, they were also available from computer stores. The Performas used to come with their own operating system. However, with the release of System 7.5, all new Performas came with the new Mac OS. The removal of bundles as a Performa exclusivity, and the eventual removal of even the monitor as a core part of the Performa, made it lose its defining characteristics. The Performas were eventually ditched around 1997.
