* G.I. Joe: Origins - a second series that explains the setup of the new continuity.
* G.I. Joe: Cobra - a mini-series that explains the status quo of this continuity's Cobra. The stories in this continuity are generally regarded to have a grittier take on G.I. Joe but does not shy away from concepts that are considered as science fiction elements such as the M.A.S.S.. While IDW has access to all characters to any era of G.I. Joe, the concepts generally revolve around A Real American Hero.
