  • These nations dominate politics and trade between all shinobi nations and are each considered superpowers in their own right. Each one's ninja village possesses extraordinarily strong ninja. As far as villages themselves go, the Land of Earth has Iwagakure, the Land of Fire has Konohagakure, the Land of Lightning has Kumogakure, the Land of Wind has Sunagakure, the Land of Water has Kirigakure, and the Land of Mountains has Yamagakure. Though each nation is considered equal in their own right, several nations have emerged as the most powerful shinobi nation over time. For the longest time, Konohagakure was considered the strongest shinobi village, standing high over all of the others. However, following the Fourth Shinobi World War and the damage done in the Invasion of Pain, Kumogakure assumed the title of most powerful village. Following the Treaty of Higurashi, the Land of Mountains gained the remaining Tailed Beasts as well as the incomplete Datara, the Ten-Tails who was resurrected during the war, making it the most powerful village which it remains to this day.
