Rick holds a certain resentment for his father, as he feels that his father abandonded his mother. Rick now bears the weight of caring for his mother and sister, which can sometimes get the best of him. Popuri and Lillia on the other hand think that Rod is doing the right thing, although they miss him very much. Rod will write letters to the family from time to time. Rod is also best friends with Zack. They both fell in love with Lillia, but Rod married her first. Zack has vowed to never interfere with Rod and Lillia's relationship, even if Rod is away. Lillia will also state that on the day of her and Rod's honeymoon, Rod brought back two chickens. The two chickens laid too many eggs, and that is how the Poultry Farm was started.
