  • Jake Ullin's Hounds
rdfs:comment
  • Jake Ullin would begin to train hounds almost since he could walk, his family having many animals in the hills of Kentucky. He wouldn't sell his first one until he was seventeen however, and that was for another jug of shine. It would be another twenty four years until he started to sell dogs commercially, this time for food and supplies. At first selling a dog for a man's son, he would find that others would be interested in his hounds.

He would build several more kennels afterword and trap other dogs. From here they would be broken and trained, each group learning a different skill. He would find several buyers the next year, allowing him to buy parts and supplies, and have caps left over. deciding to sell dogs for the foreseeable future, Ullin would release some hounds into the woods to assure stock, as well as set out food for them. The next decade would see a steady amount of dogs coming in and out for all types of purposes, taking orders from raiders as well as farmers and children, Ullin does business with them all. He has also added onto his home slightly, screening in his porch and adding a small cooking pit.
