Synopsis
  • The gang sends out a dupe, and when Huntress realizes that it's not really James, she rams the dupe with the van, and gives the gang a ten second ultimatum before detonating the device. With three seconds left to detonation, the gang releases James, and Tony drives them away, crippling the gang.
  • Helena and Tony devise a plan by which to save James from the gang. She uses the van's loudspeaker to warn the gang that if they don't turn James over to her, she will detonate the nuclear device right there, and kill everybody. The gang believes it's a bluff, but she explains that because she views her life as a means to an end, self-sacrifice is not something she fears.
  • Huntress demands to know why her partner Tony Angelo let the Bookworm's accomplices go. Suddenly, she gets a strange message from La Bruja, informing her of the Psycho Gang's plan to detonate a nuclear device in Manhattan. After relaying the message, Huntress presses Tony for answers again. Eventually he reveals that he recognized the Picture Man, and it caused him to hesitate.
  • To help them penetrate the gang's neighbourhood, Tony unveils a heavily armoured van which will withstand any gunfire. Later, Helena poses as a crack addict, hoping to buy from the Psycho gang's dealers. She is found out, but she releases some knockout gas, and escapes into their building. As the gang members are moving their nuclear device out of the building, Helena shoots them with tranquilizers, and steals the device. She moves on to seek out the device's reluctant designer James Cooper, but she is found out again, and forced to escape back to the van.

  • My life is different. My life is a means to an end. I have dedicated it to a real cause. I do not mind losing it... if I can achieve an end.
