Note that Divinity: Original Sin is a prequel to Divine Divinity, which is the first game in the Divinity universe. Larian Studios launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter on 27 March 2013, which ended up raising over $1,000,000 (including PayPal pledges) on 26 April 2013.
