  • The De'nat-class was a type of battle cruiser that entered service with the Klingon Defense Force in 2357. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 3: Ships of the Klingon Empire) The De'nat is an unusual design for a Klingon vessel. Partly built to function as a carrier it has a bulbous main hull. Instead of the usual wings connecting to nacelles, the vessel has extensions to port and starboard at the rear of the vessel and connected to the dorsal and ventral sides of these sections are the ship's four warp nacelles. These nacelles are located close to the join between the "wings" and the main hull. This design was thought to improve the effectiveness of the ship's cloaking device.

Well armed the main strike power behind the De'nat is the thirty Suv'tIS-class attack fighters that it can carry in two shuttlebays that run the length of the main hull. This allows for craft to be launched from the fore of the vessel and from the rear.
