Actor Chris Evans who portrays the character Luke who meets the tragic demise had to wear fake glasses through the film which are a replica of actor Ted Raimi's actual glasses. The film is set in 1978 and was originally scheduled for shooting in certain rainforests in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.
