In 2376, Elizabeth Lense ended up in Jabari custody after her runabout, the USS Missouri, broke apart in the planet's atmosphere and crashed. She became a medic for the Jabari forces under the leadership of a man named Saad, and later took part in a raid against the Rangdron Medical Complex to stop an experimental surgery on Julian Bashir, which the Jabari feared would dangerously increase the Kornaks' medical knowledge.
