They are black with red spots, and their face is a creamy yellow. Its large mouth allows it to eat Pikmin rapidly, making it a formidable foe. In Pikmin 2, these enemies are often found with a number of Dwarf Bulbears following it as a source of protection and general aid. In Pikmin 3, Spotty Bulbears return with strengths and weaknesses not present in previous titles.
- The Spotty Bulbear is a different kind of Bulborb in Pikmin 2. In Pikmin, it also slept and woke up when you attacked it, just like a Spoted Bulborb. In Pikmin 2 this creature did not even sleep at all. It seems like all other bulborbs have a "area zone" or a place they can't walk out of. The Bulbear can walk anywear, making it hard to defeat. He can make the Dwarf Bulbears follow itself, if it gets close enough to them. After you kill this hard monster, it will regain health, when it's health gets full agian, he will come back alive and couse trouble agian. It can be found above ground in Perplexing Pool after day 30, along with the Beady Long
