Within the city is the Eyes-&-Ears, a 2 kilometer-high tall-tower that serves as the home of the Faith of Calthoss the Shadow & the Shine. All inhabitants of the city are Grey Priests belonging either to the small, peace-loving Order of the White Priests, or the larger, and more war-like Order of the Black Priests. All inhabitants of the city are Grey Priests belonging either to the small, peace-loving Order of the White Priests, or the larger, and more war-like Order of the Black Priests. The city is led by two Eyes, and two Ears. The White-Eye leads the Order of the White Priests from the Eyes-&-Ears, while the White-Ear ventures out, lending his aid, and spies to the Faith from outside its walls. The same is true for the Black Priests, except their goals are to start wars, not stop them unlike the White Priests. The White-Ear is the Duke Soufbattle Gebel Snakepit, who currently aids the Faith by being the Eyes-&-Ears of Great Emperor of the Stone Claimant Ayeson Garlcutter. Both eyes, and ears answer to the High Grey, the leader of the Faith. Like with most other faiths, this man is a puppet of the Child With Many Names, although this one cooperated because he actually believed the Child was Calthoss Himself. There is common naming motif among the streets of the city. Streets are named Wynds. For example the Eyes-&-Ear's main road runs beneath the Eyes-&-Ears, and is called Wynd Tomereader (also known as the Grey Road). Other wynds include Wynd Redpath, Wynd Moregore, and Wynd Makebreak. The current High Grey was once a man named Julmosh Sennmulket, nephew to the man who usurped a line of Wealthmen.
