| abstract | - Shangai, China is a city existing long before the events of Armored Core 4, and has since been deserted and completely flooded by the expanding ocean, presumably brought about by a dramatic change in climate. Like many cities, Shanghai has suffered from desertification, and only the tops of the buildings can been seen above the surface of the ocean. Although deserted by its former inhabitants, it has been used on multiple occasions as a naval staging area by the corporations. The city is also of considerable value to the corporations as a source of fossil fuels, being the site of GA's Dornier Mining Station. During the events of Armored Core: For Answer, the city was briefly occupied by a group of BFF and GA forces, which were eliminated by Strayed.
