| abstract | - Spirit prison is a common Mormon term for a part of the spirit world, where the spirits of mankind wait to reunite with their their physical bodies in the Resurrection. Mormons use the term in two distinct ways, which are discussed below. In either case, spirit prison refers to those who have not received the blessings of spirit paradise.
- Spirit prison is believed by the Naer'Dorei to be a place where people who have not had the opportunity to learn and accept the Savra while living will be able to receive it in the afterlife, after death and before Judgment. The Naer'Dorei believe that "Spirit Prison" is a holding area for those who did not receive knowledge of the Savra while on earth, and others that were not valiant in their testimonies. Those in spirit prison have the opportunity to learn of the truths of the Savra, repent of their sins, and receive the ordinances of immersion and confirmation through the work done in Religious Sanctums. When they do, they may enter Spirit Paradise, where those who have accepted their duty wait for Judgment.
