  • Tim McGuire is a former NASCAR driver from Roanoke, VA. In four years, McGuire competed in seven Busch Series events. McGuire made his debut at Martinsville in 1983, driving the #15 Pontiac into the show with 31st on the grid. McGuire improved to 28th before steering forced him behind the wall. McGuire had a significantly better season in two races in 1984. He started 24th at Hickory in his season debut, but fell out due to an oil leak. Still, McGuire ended that race in 20th place. He would start 24th again when he raced next at North Wilkesboro. He finished 14th in that event, completing all but 4 laps. McGuire returned for one race in 1985, this time competing at Darlington. He started 29th in that race and came home with another top-20. This time he was 18th in the race, twelve laps off the pace. McGuire closed out his career in 1986, when he ran three races. In his season debut, at Martinsville, McGuire secured a career best finish of 13th. The next goaround at Martinsville, McGuire secured a career best start of 20th before falling out of the event.
