  • Neural network
rdfs:comment
  • A neural network is an information processing structure composed of a large number of parallely organised simple elements. Its behaviour is determined by the connection pattern of the whole systems. The properties of neural networks, particularly the relation between their structure and behaviour, are investigated in connectionism. Apart from their use in technical processes and artificial intelligence, neuronal nets act as models of information processing in the central nervous system of animals.
  • A neural network is a software program whose operation imitates the way a human brain works. A neural network creates connections between processing elements, which are analogous to neurons. Given a certain pattern of input, the organization and weights of the connections determine the corresponding output. Most neural networks must be trained with a large set of "training data" before they can be effective in recognizing patterns within the input data.
