| abstract | - Sound Imps are immortal creatures ruled by a King. It is their duty to swiftly carry all the sounds that are made. Most are carried short distances almost immediately. Sometimes they must speed with the sounds miles and miles from where the sound is made. Their duties are stressful; most people have no consideration for them and make many unneccessary sounds. (The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus) The relationship between the Sound Imps and the Sound Elves is unclear. The Imps are known to operate around the world; the Elves have so far been identified only on the Island of Yew.
