Montepulciano is also a town in the Tuscany region. Tuscany is known for the Sangiovese grape. Winemakers also use the Montepuciano varietal in Rosé wines. The Montepulciano varietal is blended with Sangiovese and is the primary grape in Montepulciano d’Abruzzo blend.
