  • Celesta’s candle
rdfs:comment
  • Celesta's Candle was the ever-lasting candle of Celesta. She constantly held it, as it would burn down if she didn't and would drain her life as it burns away – should the candle burn down completely, Celesta would die, with her, death itself. This nearly killed her twice: once at the hands of Sisyphus, but was saved by Xena, and once at the hands of Xena, her previous saviour, but was saved by Athena (who was unaware that Xena had no intention of killing her).

abstract
  • Celesta's Candle was the ever-lasting candle of Celesta. She constantly held it, as it would burn down if she didn't and would drain her life as it burns away – should the candle burn down completely, Celesta would die, with her, death itself. This nearly killed her twice: once at the hands of Sisyphus, but was saved by Xena, and once at the hands of Xena, her previous saviour, but was saved by Athena (who was unaware that Xena had no intention of killing her). Celestia's candle will never burn down so long as she is either holding it, or within close proximity and free to do so. This means that she is capable of setting the candle on a nearby surface without it burning down. This was evidenced by the candle immediately regrowing to its full length after being released from Sisyphus' trap even before she picked it up.
