| abstract | - The Plasma cube is a Protoss device used to restore energy. Similar to a Terran restoration charge, these cubes instantly regenerate shielding and psionic energy to whoever or whatever touches it. Made after the fall of Aiur, these have found there way as a more portable replacement to Plasma Batteries in most scattered factions. Often used in stealth missions by small groups, plasma cubes are essential where more bulky equipment would be an encumbrance such as caves. Unlike a Terran restoration charge, plasma cubes can also be altered by a user to more lethal effect. By simply concentrating, a user can destabilize the energy within to the point where any impact to the cube can cause a reasonably large explosion (Transformers - Animated: Energon cube, Marvel: Gambit).
