Around 1 ABY, snowtrooper Sergeant Kyp Trasidar was stationed at the facility. It was created after the Empire tricked the Akurian government into thinking they protected Akuria from an Alliance to Restore the Republic terrorist attack. Following the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader over Endor, the base was used by troops loyal to Grand Admiral Thrawn's confederation. After his death, it became the headquarters of the Akurian army. At least three TIE/ln fighters were left behind by Imperial troops, which were later used in 26 ABY by the Akurian natives against the Yuuzhan Vong in the Battle of Akuria II.
