  • The seal itself can only be utilized upon the release of a Tailed Beast's chakra into the immediate environment, and even then, under specific conditions. The said conditions are that it should be either a Version 2, or Partial Manifestation of the beast itself, because it is here that both the Yin and Yang aspects of the beast will be released. Notably, such a technique wouldn't have worked on Naruto Uzumaki during the Fourth Shinobi World War as a result of only Kurama's Yang chakra being present.

abstract
  • The seal itself can only be utilized upon the release of a Tailed Beast's chakra into the immediate environment, and even then, under specific conditions. The said conditions are that it should be either a Version 2, or Partial Manifestation of the beast itself, because it is here that both the Yin and Yang aspects of the beast will be released. Notably, such a technique wouldn't have worked on Naruto Uzumaki during the Fourth Shinobi World War as a result of only Kurama's Yang chakra being present. Nonetheless, upon such an activation, Hoori utilizes a number of hand seals before unrolling the scroll. Through its unrolling, the insignia present within the center of the scroll begins to glow, as it utilizes Hoori's own Yin chakra to manifest unique chakra arms which subsequently begin to react with the "complete" chakra of the Tailed Beast. These then attempt to grapple the Tailed Beast's chakra, thus using themselves as a medium to absorb the chakra into the scroll. The technique can only be successful if the Jinchūriki themselves are incapacitated or subdued prior, mainly as a consequence of the arms being easily cut through if they are not.
