  • SSX Blur is a skiing and snowboarding video game, for up to 4 Players, published by EA Sports BIG and developed by EA Montreal for the Wii video game console. It is the 5th installment of the SSX snowboarding video games series. The game was released in the United States on February 27, 2007. The soundtrack was created by Junkie XL and is played through the in-game radio station, "Radio BIG".
  • SSX Blur for the Wii is the first (and so far only) Wii SSX game to be released. It was revealed that Electronic Arts would be making a sequel to the popular series in mid-2006, though it wasn't revealed untill December 2006 on GameHead, a tv show on Spike TV. In the game, tricks are performed by moving the controllers in different ways. Accelerating and braking is done by pushing the joystick forward or back and steering is as simple as twisting the nunchuck left and right, pushing the joystick left and right, or a combination of the two. To jump you flick the nunchuck upwards or pressing and releasing the A button, spins and flips are done by flicking the controller in any of four directions (up, down, left, and right) and grabs are done by holding the Z button and tilting the nunchuck.

As tricks are completed and characters maintain their speed a meter called the 'groove' meter will rise, and the higher it rises the better and more in depth the background music is. Once your meter is at the third bar or higher (out of 5 bars) your character can perform 'ubertricks' in the air by holding the A button and drawing a specific shape including a Z shape or a heart shape. As with previous SSX games there are a total of three peaks, each having their own levels and increasing difficulty. Also many of the previous characters are in it including Mac, Zoe, Psymon, Moby, Elise, Allegra, Griff, etc. There are hundreds of 'ubercollectibles' scattered around the three peaks, and now characters can choose between skis or snowboards, and unlock dozens of other boards and skis by completing challenges. You can get your competitor's boards and skis by beating them in their challenge, or others that change your stats when equipped. Also unlike the other games characters have different starting and max stats, so maxed out one character may have a 12 in edge but only 8 in speed whereas another could have the opposite.
