  • The banlist is a tool for founders and delegates to keep people they don't want in the region out. A founder (or delegate if delegate regional control is on) may summarily eject any nation, sending them to The Rejected Realms. They are also given the option of placing this nation on the banlist so they can't come back. For delegates, this involves sacrificing some of their Regional Influence, especially if the nation banned is a long-established native with a lot of influence. Nations ejected and/or banned from a region receive a telegram from the NationStates Ministry of Intelligence and Logistics (originally, the NationStates Intelligence Ministry), which tracks all banlist activities.
  • The banlist is a tool for founders and UN Delegates to keep nations they don't want in a region out of the region. A founder (or UN delegate if delegate regional control is on) may eject a nation, sending them to the Rejected Realms. They are also put on the banlist, which prevents them from re-entering the region unless they are removed from the banlist. Also, in Warzones, the banlist is automatically cleared twice a day. Originally a delegate or founder would be able to keep as many nations as it wanted on the banlist (within certain rules). However, following many complaints of Francos Spain's alleged overuse of the banlist in the Pacific during the Fall of 2003, the banlist was limited to 200 nations. This number is still in effect today. In Warzones, the banlist is automatically cleared twice a day, making the sitting delegate far less secure.
