She is not very brave, but through the book, Saba finds herself becoming stronger and braver. Saba appreciates the little things in life, preferring her old worn sandals to fine slippers because they were the first shoes given to her, and they were given to her out of kindness. Despite Saba's lack of courage, she can be quite clever. Saba is also very spiritual and looks to the church in her palace for guidance and comfort.

In jenem Jahr wurde die Haltung auf geschützten Kontakt umgestellt zusammen mit der Schaffung einer neuen Elefantenanlage.

During the third season of MMPR, Saba's role in the show diminished significantly (as the Tigerzord had been destroyed) and he was now used by Tommy very rarely (with Saba only having two lines of dialogue throughout his remaining appearances). During Power Rangers Zeo, Saba could be seen in the White Ranger's display case at the back of the Power Chamber. Years later, in Fighting Spirit, Saba was seen once again when Tommy fought three visions of his past ranger forms, Saba was seen wielded by the White Ranger once again. In the Super Megaforce season finale, Saba assisted Tommy in rescuing a child from a car that was about to fall off a bridge. Saba also made a brief non-speaking appearance in the 1995 Movie where he was used to squash the remaining Oozemen which hadn't been destroyed by the Rangers by using his eye beams to cause a crate to fall on them. Unlike the series, this version of Saba wasn't holstered but simply appeared when needed (similar to the Rangers' weapons). He disappeared when the Rangers lost their powers, and it is unknown if he was restored once they got the Ninja powers.

Es wird berichtet, sie hätte in Dompierre etliche Kämpfe mit den Neuankömmlingen ausgefochten, so dass überlegt wurde, dass sie an einer andere Haltung abgegeben werden sollte. Noch vor der Geburt des ersten dortigen Elefantenbabys Jade im Mai 2008 durch Nina reiste Saba im November 2007 nach Schweden, wo sie im Zoo Kolmården bleiben sollte. Saba traf am 07.11.2007 in Kolmården. Während sie in Dompierre die erste Stammkuh der Gruppe war, wurde sie in Kolmården der jüngste Zuwachs zu einer kleinen Gruppe von mit ihr drei Elefantenkühen. Vor Sabas Ankunft lebten in dem schwedischen Zoo die königlichen Asiatinnen Sanoi und Bua, die 2004 als Geschenk des thailändischen Königs nach Schweden gekommen war. Die Gruppe war nach einer Tuberkuloseepidemie in den Jahren 2001-2003, bei der alle Elefanten getötet werden mussten, ein Neuanfang für die Elefantenhaltung im Zoo. In Kolmården wird Saba zusammen mit Sanoi und Bua wieder im direkten Pflegerkontakt gehalten. Saba ist die älteste der drei Elefantenkühe in Kolmården. Zusammen mit Bua und Sanoi war Saba schon häufiger Objekt verschiedener Untersuchungen und Experimente für wissenschaftliche Zwecke, insbesondere zur Verhaltensforschung und zum Umgang mit Enrichments für die Tiere.
