| abstract | - The Lifejacket is a special powerup designed for Sonic, Simon Belmont, Samus and Proto Man. Due to the fact that Sonic and Simon can't swim and Samus' and Proto Man's armor makes them too heavy, there will be a monitor to give this powerup. The lifejacket will enable them to swim like all the other characters. It is a temporary powerup that only lasts for the level that it's acquired in and only appears when needed. Samus' version is unique in two aspects. First, hers takes the form of her Gravity Suit from the Metroid games.
