It was founded by a group of businessmen who were tired of having to drive imported cars as there were no car factories in Illuccia. This automotive company gained much popularity in Illuccia after their second car came out: the Aries Spectrum, a large family car presented at the 1955 The Hague Auto Show and commercialised in November 1955. It quickly gained popularity over the next few months in not only Illuccia but all of Europe. In 1959 it was slightly face lifted which brought even more buyers. In total, the Aries Spectrum of 1955-2015 sold over 1.5 million models. The revolutionary Streed of 1979 and Novis of 1983 were also best sellers, and in 1986 Aries officially imported their first cars to Novamerica. As the market there preferred larger cars, the Spectrum and the Streed were mostly imported as well as a brand new car just for the Novamerican market: the X-CS100. Aries quickly became competent enough to rival large companies like the Venezuelan VIVA and the French Avantis. However, Aries started working with both companies and built factories in La Rochelle, France, and Maracaibo, Venezuela. In 1993, Aries also constructed a factory in Canton, ROC.
