| Biography | - Kevin Terris is a former NASCAR driver from Hermosa Beach, CA. He competed in eleven Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning three top-tens.
Terris' debut came in 1970, when he competed at Riverside. Starting 34th in the field, Terris quickly proved his skill by staying out of trouble and piloting his machine to a 12th place finish in the end. Unfortunately, he struggled when he returned to the track in June, finishing 38th with engine woes.
Terris stepped it up to a four-race schedule in 1971, finding very mixed results. When he ran well, Terris was fantastic. He recorded a pair of seventh place finishes in the Riverside events, completing all but seven laps in the January race and all but nine laps in the June show. However, in his two starts away from Riverside, Terris found trouble. Mechanical woes left him 42nd at Ontario and 26th at Talladega.
Terris' next three races would precede in the 1972 season, the year he garnered a career-high 60th place standing in the points. Again, Terris was solid in his Riverside efforts, garnering a career-best 6th place run in the January event and finding his way home 17th in the later race. Ontario wasn't too much of a hurdle either for the driver, surviving the large field to finish 22nd.
Terris then went on a multi-year hiatus from NASCAR's top division, returning with the Winston West Series to Riverside in a 1982 Cup-West combination race. Terris' luck proved to be a bit rusty after all those years, as early engine issues left him 41st among the forty-two cars.
Terris then made his final career start in the 1984 season. Competing yet again at Riverside, Terris found a respectable end to his career. He fell a number of laps down in the race but managed to keep his car on track to end up 24th.
