In 1965 she recorded a Christmas Special of spin-off Pardon the Expression that in the event was never transmitted. She played many bit parts in films and television programmes in the late 1950s and 1960s but probably remains best known for her role as "Aunt Jessie" Starkey, Ringo's aunt in The Beatles 1967 television special, Magical Mystery Tour, photographs of the actress appearing in the special E.P. of the film released in the same year.
