Aaronovitch had a planned opening of Ace in command of a Star Trek-style ship before having her sneak off to her cabin, where the Doctor would be waiting. She would tell him "this isn't going to work!". However, Aaronovitch has also said this story may not have been produced due to the known problems of getting the BBC of the time to produce effective spacecraft sets ("a crappy bridge", as he put it).
