abstract
  • Paul Palmer is an award-winning author and journalist from Ireland who lived in England for many years. He was the Special Features Writer for the Daily Mail and contributor to many national newspapers and magazines. Palmer's parents divorced when he was an infant, and he wrote an autobiographical article featuring his first meeting with his father for the Daily Mail. Palmer, an Oxford graduate, is married and his wife, Newby, also works in media. Palmer's first novel, Balance of Power (ISBN 0-340-77044-9), published in 2000, centred around the death of the President of the United States, and an investigative journalist anxious to discover the truth. Palmer reports that sales of that first novel reached the top 10 within WH Smith at one point.[citation needed]
