  • The football club have always been one of the best teams in the county. They have a long-standing rivalry with Premiership winners Blackburn Rovers, or the Deadwood Crusaders As they are more formally known. Their home ground Turf Moor was built largely out of steel, gold, and thousands of diamonds. It is currently the roudiest ground in the league, harboring the Suicide Squad. Burnley FC have an extensive trophy cabinet, including prestige trophies for 'We finished 3 points above Blackburn Rovers' award of excellence, 'Least premiership money spent by a board of directors', 'Best impersonators of Aston Villa' (1910 - 2014).
  • Burnley is a district in Gotham City.
  • Bristol Rovers and Burnley have met thirty times in competitive football, with Rovers having the marginally better record thanks to their 11 wins over Burnley's 9. The teams first faced each other in the FA Cup in January 1909 when Burnley, who were in the second division of the Football League, beat a Rovers side still playing in the Southern League Division One 4–1 at Eastville. The clubs wouldn't meet again for another 49 years after that match, when they were again drawn to face each other in the FA Cup in January 1958. This time Rovers were the eventual 3–2 winners, although they needed at replay at Turf Moor after the game at Eastville ended in a 2–2 stalemate.
