- Icicle Mountain is the ninth level of Nintendo Subspace. Modeled after the classic NES game of the same name, the player must navigate to the top of the mountain by smashing through the ice bridges and climbing through the gaps. The main enemies are Yetis and Seals, who can seal up holes in the bridges with icicles. Other threats include polar bears, who can stun the player with ground-shaking attacks, and icicles that fall from the ceiling. The end of the level is a breather section with no enemies and free coins, akin to the bonus sections in the original game. To complete the stage, the player must grab the eggplant carried by the condor.
- The stage scrolls infinitely up and down and regularly switches directions and changes speed. Most platforms are thin so players can jump through them but thick rocks and ice can prevent passage. The ice platforms can be broken and are slippery. Some platforms fall if stood on for too long.

They venture the mountain, only to reach the top. When arriving at the top, Meta Knight notices Lucario, whom then notices Meta Knight. Lucario jumps from where he sat, and is ready to fight Meta Knight. The Ice Climbers look at both with a scared look, and the player picks which character to play as in the battle. At the end, Lu
