Dodson became a member of the FAP at a young age and has been a member since 2650. Former chairman Spenzer Roderick Sr appointed him to become the party's Infrastructure/Transport candidate in 2657. In 2659 he was asked to take up the Infrastructure & Transport Ministry following the Anti-Fascist Coalition's downfall but never got through because of mix ups and changes to the cabinet proposal. However in 2672 he has tapped once again to take up the spot in a unified cabinet, the Hulstrian League, with fellow FAP member Silvester Colt. Friedemann Dodson, along with the rest of the newly formed cabinet, was sworn in as Greater Hulstria's Infrastructure & Transport Minister on February 13th, 2673.
