  • Roy Trantham (October 2, 1941- ) is a former NASCAR driver from Asheville, NC. He competed in five Nextel Cup Series events in his career, earned one top-ten. All of those races came in 1958, when Trantham debuted at Darlington. Starting 19th in the forty-four car field, Trantham fell out early with crash issues and finished 34th. DNFs, sadly, were just part of his season. He failed to finish four of his five races, recording a best finish of 21st in those races. But luckily, Trantham redeemed himself in the one race he actually finished. Starting 14th at Martinsville, Trantham completed all but fifteen laps in route to a career-best 10th place finish.
