Since moving to Los Angeles Alestar has won Outstanding Solo Artist of the Year in 2005 and in 2006 he was nominated for Best Male Vocalist and Outstanding Solo Artist and Outstanding Songwriter of 2006 he won best modern rock band of the year 2007 and has been nominated most original band of the year 2008 his self titled album is a mix of classic rock songs like" Jackie "and "your best" and softer more gentle classic ballad that is "friends and lovers ".
